DON'T LOOK UP
The title recalls the film by Leonardo di Caprio where a huge asteroid is about to fall on the earth with “end of life” effects. A catastrophic and paradoxical situation is created which, with the complicity of the media, leads humanity to underestimate the danger. It is an obvious metaphor with the climate crisis that di Caprio had to “explain” on Youtube.
In my work two primitive figures swim in a primordial soup. They will be the future men but “they don’t look up” and do not perceive the danger of the bitumen that weighs on them inexorably.

CLOGGED UP
This painting contains a rather explicit complaint. We are underestimating the ongoing climate crisis and the actions we are taking to combat it are insufficient. The toilet obviously symbolizes our planet and if, despite the invitation of the "maintenance service", we open it, we find it clogged. The brands and products of multinationals, our consumables are piled up there.
A clogged toilet at home sends us into a panic.Despite technology and digitalization, we are still mammals with a digestive system, but sometimes we forget it. We are clogging the planet, but it is not enough to call a plumber.
